2020 Golf Classic at Rock Hill Country Club A Success!
Living Waters was ready for its 2020 Golf Classic on September 30 at the beautiful Rock Hill Country Club in Manorville, New York, but Mother Nature had other ideas with rain and clouds rolling in early morning. Thank God we had the divine intervention of our Honoree Monsignor Thom Costa and the memory of his friend Father Martin Klein who’s prayers were answered with beautiful sunshine and lots of love for the classic annual benefit held for Living Waters Therapeutic Catholic Counseling. Although many golf outings have been cancelled or moved to a virtual format, our event gave all attendees a relaxing, congenial experience in person, while maintaining social distancing and the required health precautions.
Neil King a member of the planning committee for the event, and his family of King O’Rourke Cadillac were so pleased to be one of this year’s sponsors. Neil notes “Even though we didn’t give a way a Cadillac this year, Golf is such a great way to develop relationships and network, to make friends while doing business. And social distancing is easy to do with golf; it’s outdoors, and if you need to avoid close contact, you can use a hand cart, or a one-person golf cart, and still enjoy the day.”
Michael Racanelli agreed, “This is for such a great cause, with Living Waters. In times like these, helping others through therapy and focusing on mental health is more important than ever.”
The Golf Classic featured a day of golf with a full breakfast, lunch, on course food and beverages, and a fun dinner with a cocktail hour and open bar. We cant wait till next year to have even more fun with a full capacity of golfers and supporters!
