Living Waters Center Announces Grand Opening At Greenlawn Location

We are pleased to announce the Grand Opening of the Living Waters Catholic Counseling Center at its new location 29 Clay Pitts Road in Greenlawn, New York.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Friday, September 30th, 2022, hosting over 45 people from surrounding and parish communities. Neil Coscio, President of the Parish Council remarked, “We are proud to welcome Living Waters into our parish community.”

Living Waters was founded by Carol Rubano, LCSW-R, ACSW, in the year 2000, as an alternative to secular therapy. Today, Living Waters is one of the only Catholic Counseling Centers on Long Island, providing services to people throughout New York State.

Father Peter Kaczmarek, the Pastor of St. Francis of Assisi parish and the long-time Spiritual Director for Living Waters, shared his thoughts during the evening event, “Now that construction is complete and Living Waters is in its new home, we look forward to having them as part of the St. Francis family! So many blessings are upon us.” 

Representatives from Suffolk County were on hand to mark the occasion, including Legislator Stephanie Bontempi from District 18 and a representative from Huntington Town Council for Joan Cergol.

The grand opening continued on Sunday, October 2, 2022, with a dedication mass at the Parish of St. Francis of Assisi and a blessing from the Most Reverend Robert J. Coyle, Auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese of Rockville Centre. During Sunday’s service at St. Francis, Bishop Coyle referred to the gospel scripture from the day of Luke 17: 6-7, “If you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this Mulberry tree, “be uprooted and planted in the sea” and it will be done.”

Carol Rubano annotated the connection between the Living Waters mission and the Bishop’s powerful words, “Faith builds on nature,” said Carol Rubano, adding “Living Waters Catholic Counseling Center helps one work through the blocks of nature so that grace and faith may continue to build.”

Living Waters Therapeutic Catholic Counseling is dedicated to healing the whole individual with an integrated approach to the intellectual, emotional, physical and spiritual, to help everyone become their most authentic self.
