Sisters of St. Dominic Awards Living Waters a Grant!

Blog

Living Waters Catholic Counseling has provided counseling and therapeutic and spiritual support services for the past 22 years. Throughout this time, we have relied on the gracious support of individuals and institutions to help us help others.

After Covid -19 entered our lives, we noticed an increasing number of clients needing financial aid or free counseling.

We applied for a grant based on our community, and a very real need to reduce the stresses in life. The Sisters of St. Dominic responded with their overwhelming trust in the form of a $4,000 grant.

Our goal is to provide mental health counseling to the underserved and/or working poor in our community. Our counseling center, as one of the only Catholic focused in the area, serves individuals, couples, and families. This year we have added staff members who can provide bi-lingual counseling for Creole/French to service Haitian clients and Spanish for the growing Hispanic population in our geographic area.

The Sisters preach the Good News through a variety of ministries, sharing their gifts and talents as preachers, educators and lawyers, artists, peace and justice advocates and in diverse social services. For more information, please visit: www.sistersofstdominic.org
